yay, it is firma’s birthday. 

that calls for a celebration.

and a story.

because, did you know?

if you calculated correctly, you’d know the firma story started in 2015. anne founded firma and turned an industrial building in vilvoorde, next to the famous channel, into a versatile space, dedicated to creating and making. she got inspired whilst studying abroad in sweden. the experience of meeting and uniting with other designers made her dream of her own concept where young creators join a space together, feel inspired and form communities. 

later, she still missed a place to welcome people and make the step to creativity and imagination a bit smoother. after looking for a bridge that was able to bring people together, whilst complementing the strong vision of firma, cantine was born in 2016. 

and then came 2019, the year when firma ii brussels was founded. anne saw an opportunity to open a second affiliate of her co-working and event space with in-house lunchbar. a spacious floor in the former actiris building was transformed into inspiring white and bright areas. with its broad windows and view on la bourse firma ii radiates the historical and industrial character of the big city. 

firma is always driven by the industrial building itself, where simplicity and non ordinary meet.

now, in 2020, we’re all working in uncertain, often stressful times. that is why firma’s goal stays solid: creating small communities whilst inspiring and motivating young creators, designers and entrepreneurs.
